About SoCTA
SoCTA (Soft Computing: Theories and Applications) is two year young International conference. SoCTA-2016 was organized at Amity University Rajasthan, Jaipur, India in technical association with MIR Labs, USA; IET and IETE. SoCTA-2017 was organized at Bundelkhand University Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh, India in technical association with MIR Labs, USA and partially funded by TEQIP-3 & DRDO, New Delhi. SoCTA-2018 will be organized at Dr B R Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar, Punjab, India in technical association with MIR Labs, USA and partially funded by CSIR, New Delhi, India and TEQIP-3.

The objective of SoCTA is to provide a common platform to researchers, academicians, scientists and industrialists working in the area of soft computing to share and exchange their views and ideas on the theory and application of soft computing techniques in multi disciplinary areas.

The aim of the conference is to highlight the latest advances, problems and challenges and to present the latest research results in the field of soft computing with a link to scientific research and its practical implementation. SoCTA especially encourages the young researchers at the beginning of their career to participate in this conference and invite them to present their work on this platform.


About NIT Jalandhar
Dr B R Ambedkar National Institute of Technology was established in the year 1987 as Regional Engineering College and was given the status of National Institute of Technology (Deemed University) by the Government of India on October 17, 2002 under the aegis of Ministry of Human Resource Development, New Delhi. Now the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India has declared the Institute as “Institute of National Importance” under the act of Parliament-2007. A large number of reputed Industrial houses in the country visit the Institution and select the final year students as Engineers/ Management Trainees. As one of the National Institutes of Technology (NIT), the Institute has the responsibility of providing high quality education in Engineering, Technology and Sciences to produce competent technical and scientific manpower for the country.
